How to Use Clarence Health Companion
Welcome to Clarence Health Companion App, a conversation-based digital health companion designed to provide seniors with daily interactions, trivia games, and proactive health support. Whether you want to play trivia, get real-time information, or chat about anything that interests you, Clarence is here to help. In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps to get started, use various features, and make the most of your experience.
Getting Started
To begin using the Clarence Health app, download it from the iOS App Store using the link provided. You will either receive a username and password to log in, or you may need to contact the Clarence team at info@clarencehealth.com to request access.

1. Once logged in, you will see the following screen. Press the button displayed on this screen to start speaking with Clarence. Clarence will greet you, and you can begin a conversation
2. While Clarence is speaking, you will see the following screen. You can interrupt Clarence at any time by pressing the button on the screen.
3. If you are in an ongoing conversation, you will see the following screen. You can end the conversation by pressing the button or simply verbally indicating your intent to stop.
Playing Games and Requesting Summaries
Clarence offers fun games including trivia and two truths and a lie. Additionally, you can ask Clarence for a summary of your previous conversations. You can even narrow down your summary request by topic and time period.
Requesting Real-time Information
At any time during your chat with Clarence, you can ask for real-time information such as news, weather, and current events. If you do not specify a location, Clarence will use your current location to tailor the search results, provided you've given location access to the app.
Weekly Check-ins
Clarence also performs weekly check-ins to ensure your well-being and assist in health journaling. These check-ins are a proactive measure to help you manage chronic conditions and general wellness based on your conversations with Clarence. We hope you find Clarence a valuable companion. Clarence Health Lite is a conversation-based, digital senior health companion that elevates health outcomes through daily interactions and proactive clinical, family, and other stakeholder orchestration.

Our services are focused on addressing two of the greatest challenges seniors face: isolation and a lack of health support. Approximately one-third of seniors are clinically isolated, which has a major health toll on individuals. It’s the equivalent of smoking 15 cigarettes a day. The Clarence Health app provides the ability to talk about whatever is of interest to you in an engaging and empathetic way. Whether that’s talking about the best places to fly fish in Montana or how your favorite sports teams played last night, Clarence is here for you.

Clarence can also play trivia games and help you manage chronic conditions based on guidance from your clinician. To use the app, you need a username and password, which can be provided by your clinician or by contacting info@clarencehealth.com.
